Things I Learned from playing Games esp Dota
As a teenager I played games quite a lot, sometimes I feel like I am spending a lot of time playing games. So I think about that and felt that playing games is not that bad at all.Following is some of the things that I learned from playing dota.
-
Team Work
-
Assigning suitable roles
-
Endurance
Team work is very important in playing dota. You may be good but if your team members are not good or you do not cooperate with them there is no way your team can win. From that I realized the importance of team work.
There are a lot characters in dota and I think each of them represents a different personalities.Generally there are 3 types of hero in dota :Gankers ,Supporters ,Carriers. Some people may like to gank and some may like to support. So it is very important to decide which type of hero to assign to your team members. And you can not have all 5 players taking Ganking heroes and no supporters, you need to balance the force.
If I get gank in early game,I tend to quit the game. But I didn’t do that sort of action now because with effort and good team work I know that I can win if I tried.Even if I lose,I am still happy because I’d tried with my best.”Never try Never know”.
RP Open House Application
I am glad that I’d been assigned to work on developing an Android application to provides information about RP open house 2012.This is my first real life project and I want to make it good.I am the kind of guy who think design is not as important as coding. After accomplishing several assignments tasked by the school,I realized that I was wrong.I know that I need to design proper class diagram and UI before actual coding for this project to be able to finish it on time.
Through the project,I learned a lot about Android application development as well as how to effectively communicate with team members.
The final product of the application is now on the Android Market and please take a look and feel free to give a comment.
Humor?

A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It’s jolted by every pebble on the road.

Leo App(Android) For RP Students
Checking Classes and UT Class venues have always been a hassle for me since my second year in RP.I always forget my class locations thus I have to boot up my Mac and check for locations
Thankfully, this morning My Friends from RP had released an App which allows us to check our UT Schedules,Timetables and class locations. The App is called LeoApp and I tested the app today and found that the design is very good. However, I feel that it still lacks of some functionality like auto-evaluation,check RJ and so on.It would be great if the app can be used offline too.

There is also an iPhone app for that and you can download it from there.
